Geoffroy Van der Hasselt
Geoffroy Van der Hasselt took his first steps into a darkroom at the age of 15, during his studies in fine arts. From that moment, he was hooked.
Between 2010 and 2013, he worked for the Belgian Press agency 'Reporters' in Brussels where he covered politics, royalty, and European institutions.
Following this, a London-based agency sent him to the Caribbean for the winter and to Saint-Tropez for the summer to photograph celebrities.
At the end of 2014 Geoffroy joined the Paris team of the national Turkish news agency Anadolu covering both local and national news.
Since 2016 he is a stringer for AFP in Paris focusing on French politics, daily news, sport events and international affairs.
Thereby he has obtained the French Press card and Sports Press card.
His news reports have appeared in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, Daily Mail, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Slate, Paris Match, l'Obs, le Point, le Figaro, VSD, l'Express, le Monde, Geo Magazine, Al Jazeera, Die ZEIT, and many more.
